Job Description

Seeking a skilled Performance & Reliability Engineer to characterize the performance and reliability of Aerospike’s graph database, ensuring efficiency and scalability for enterprise customers. Responsibilities include collaboration, systems characterization, troubleshooting, architecture and design, performance optimization, documentation, customer interaction, and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product R&D team
• Design workloads to characterize system performance and reliability
• Investigate and resolve performance issues
• Contribute to graph database design and architecture
• Analyze and optimize performance
• Create and maintain documentation
• Engage with customers to gather feedback
• Stay current with industry trends

Requirements

• Experience with programming languages (Java, C/C++, Go, etc.)
• Experience running large scale distributed systems
• Experience with Database Clients
• Understanding of database indexing, query processing, and optimization
• Experience with Observability tools (eBPF, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Unix/Linux system administration
• Experience automating deployments (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
