Job Description

Shift4 is seeking a POS Technical Support Representative to resolve terminal/POS system issues for customers. This onsite role involves analyzing call logs, troubleshooting, and providing real-time support through various communication channels. The representative will need to understand the software and equipment, possess strong customer service skills, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve credit card terminal issues
  • Listen to customer needs and demonstrate empathy
  • Improve terminal performance by identifying problems
  • Diagnose customer issues through questioning
  • Provide resolution by researching answers and guiding merchants
  • Receive and resolve inbound calls, emails, chats, tasks, and tickets
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Complete projects under tight deadlines
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Demonstrate exemplary performance and attendance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of technical support/troubleshooting experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced call center
  • Ability to interact and coordinate with other departments
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable on the phone and in-person
  • Flexible in work hours
