Job Description

The NFL is seeking a dynamic and experienced Seasonal News Segment Producer to join the team behind The Insiders to produce daily show segments, breaking news updates, and live content across linear and digital platforms. This position requires sharp editorial judgment, strong control room experience, and deep NFL knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Produce segments daily for The Insiders show
• Report to the Producer/Coordinating Producer
• Produce and write editorially accurate news updates and breaking news
• Collaborate with directors and technical teams during live and taped segments
• Work with editors and desk assistants under pressure meeting deadlines
• Gather news and verify accuracy
• Serve as an editorial resource for content producers and on-air talent
• Communicate directly with newsroom management and senior leaders

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in newsgathering and live production
• Excellent breaking news instincts
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Strong production skills in a live control room environment
• Proven experience building rundowns and leading control room execution
• Keen editorial judgement and awareness
• In-depth knowledge of football and the National Football League
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong football knowledge and awareness of NFL events and stories
• Strong command skills
