Job Description

Develop and execute the growth strategy for the Health & Life Sciences industry, leading and scaling a team to accelerate growth of Toptal’s enterprise customer base. Work with senior leadership to analyze market opportunities and lead sales efforts targeting Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire prospects and deepen client relationships
  • Develop and expand Toptal’s presence in Health & Life Sciences
  • Evaluate and evolve the team’s short, medium, and long-term plans
  • Serve as an executive sponsor, cultivating SVP & C-level relationships
  • Lead a team of sales and client services professionals
  • Develop account prioritization criteria and optimize account portfolios
  • Review KPIs, provide guidance, evaluate performance, and develop coaching plans
  • Coach and mentor team members, manage pipelines, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews
  • Actively recruit new team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years managing an industry business unit
  • 5+ years leading professional services sales teams in Health & Life Sciences
  • Deep industry relationships
  • Experience building client portfolios of $20M+
  • Experience negotiating MSAs/SOWs and selling large, complex projects
  • Understanding of emerging technologies
  • Experience at a technology or hyper-growth company preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
