Job Description

As General Manager, Management Consulting, you will be responsible for building and scaling a new, high-impact business line. This senior leadership role requires strategic vision, commercial acumen, and hands-on execution. You will define and execute the overall Management Consulting strategy, identify market opportunities, define a compelling value proposition, and build the operational foundation needed to launch and grow a high-performing Management Consulting offering. You will navigate a fast-paced, matrixed organization, ensuring executive alignment, securing stakeholder buy-in, and rallying cross-functional teams. You’ll play a direct role in shaping client solutions, engaging with clients, and partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Talent Operations, and Delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale a new business line
  • Define and execute Management Consulting strategy
  • Identify market opportunities and define value proposition
  • Build operational foundation for high-performing offering
  • Navigate a matrixed organization, ensuring executive alignment and stakeholder buy-in
  • Shape client solutions and engage with clients
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Talent Operations, Delivery)
  • Optimize supply and demand, balancing top-line growth with operational efficiency
  • Analyze market opportunities and build/test new offerings
  • Create execution plan with Marketing and Talent Operations
  • Work with clients and internally with cross-functional teams
  • Establish analytics and feedback loops for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience driving and managing a business
  • 3+ years managing a business with P&L ownership
  • Deep connection within the HLS industry with a strong network
  • Experience in a professional services organization
  • Success in building and launching new businesses or products
  • Experience at a technology or hyper-growth company (preferred)
  • Management consulting experience at a top-tier firm (preferred)
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced, multi-function environment
  • Refined relationship development and leadership skills
  • Experience with marketing technology and automation
  • Experience establishing high-impact, revenue-generating relationships
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and financial skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
