Job Description

Zus is a shared health data platform looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join their Applications team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building intuitive, reliable, and scalable user-facing products that empower healthcare providers to access and act on critical patient data. They will work on everything from React-based user interfaces to the APIs that power them, contribute to the design and development of full-stack features, and collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams. The role requires a strong understanding of the full data flow, from UI interactions to API design to backend systems, and the ability to own services end-to-end. The stack includes React, TypeScript, GraphQL and RESTful APIs, and AWS services. The role requires a fast-paced environment, clean and maintainable code, and a desire to shape how users interact with the future of healthcare data.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate web applications and APIs
  • Collaborate with team members and across Engineering to prototype and develop new functionality
  • Provide technical leadership, contributing to architecture and design
  • Coach others to become better engineers
  • Partner with product managers and other Zusers

  • Familiar with ReactJS (Typescript), Tailwind CSS, Go, GraphQL, Terraform, FHIR
  • Knowledgeable about application security
  • Experienced in working with healthcare data and APIs
  • Familiar with FHIR and/or TEFCA standards
  • In the Boston metro area and excited to collaborate in person on a hybrid schedule, or remote (EST/CST) but willing to travel for in-person collaboration occasionally
