Job Description

Juul Labs is seeking a Regional Vice President for the West region to drive growth and performance within the commercial organization. This role involves building and executing regional growth strategies, managing sales teams, coordinating with government affairs, and continuously improving market approaches. The ideal candidate will have extensive sales leadership experience in highly regulated consumer products, particularly in tobacco or alternative categories, and will be adept at influencing stakeholders and leading diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute growth strategy for the region, gaining alignment with stakeholders
  • Drive performance through commercial organization by growing door count, distribution, pricing, merchandising, and promotional execution
  • Test and iterate on market improvements
  • Coordinate efforts with Government Affairs team on regulatory initiatives
  • Lead, train, and build a team of Division Managers and Zone Managers responsible for in-store execution, merchandising, and selling
  • Provide feedback to HQ for best practices and disseminate key insights and sales performance
  • Reside or be willing to relocate to a state in the region
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% or more of the time
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience as a Director Level and up sales team leader
  • Experience calling on Retail chain HQ decision makers for Tobacco or Tobacco alternative categories
  • Experience managing/leading Tobacco or Tobacco alternative product distributors
  • Experience calling on Convenience Retail or Convenience Distributor Executives
  • 7-10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in highly regulated consumer products
  • Must have experience leading sales managers
  • Proven sales, results-oriented, people, and strategic leadership skills
  • Strongly self-motivated to own and build projects end-to-end in a startup environment
  • Ability to influence others across functions and at multiple levels, providing collaborative ideas
  • Analytical/metrics-oriented, able to think in KPI terms
  • Strong 'selling' personality, able to execute on ad hoc business development
  • Curious and never satisfied with status quo, always seeking improvements
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Tableau, and excellent digital communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
