Upgrade is seeking a Product Counsel to provide legal guidance on financial products and related initiatives. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, advising on legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and drafting consumer agreements. Responsibilities

• Review new products and features for legal risks
• Advise on legal and regulatory compliance
• Draft consumer agreements and review marketing collateral
• Research consumer protection laws and regulations
• Prioritize workload and meet deadlines
• Manage projects with a proactive approach

Requirements

• J.D. and Bar membership
• 5+ years of experience advising financial institutions/fintech companies
• Experience with consumer loans, deposit accounts, and payments
• Strong curiosity and ability to learn quickly
• Resiliency and business partnership skills
• Adaptability to new technology
• Team player with a sense of humor
