Job Description

MoonPay is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and Statutory Audit to join their growing finance team as they prepare for an IPO. This role will be critical in ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and statutory audit obligations across multiple jurisdictions, serving as a subject matter expert on complex accounting issues, and building scalable processes for a rapidly growing international business.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve complex accounting issues
• Develop and maintain technical accounting policies
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations
• Monitor FASB developments
• Manage end-to-end statutory audit process
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors
• Prepare statutory financial statements
• Coordinate audit schedules and deliverables
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements
• Drive SOX readiness and internal controls
• Identify and address accounting and compliance risks
• Build and mentor a technical accounting team
• Drive automation and process improvement

Requirements

• CPA required
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong understanding of IFRS
• Experience managing multi-entity, multinational audits
• Proven ability to draft technical accounting memos
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Public accounting and industry experience preferred
