Job Description

Canary Technologies is seeking a Head of Design to establish a multi-year design vision and translate ideas into measurable outcomes. This role involves leading a design team, owning the design system, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and representing design in executive forums.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design strategy across product surfaces
• Build, mentor, and manage a design team
• Define and evolve Canary’s design system
• Partner with PM and Eng leads to shape roadmap
• Raise quality through critique and design reviews
• Lead research to understand stakeholder needs
• Collaborate with Enterprise and Customer Success teams
• Establish design planning and measurement practices
• Represent Design in exec forums

Requirements

• 8+ years in Product Design with 3+ years leading teams
• Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking and shipped work
• Proven ability to recruit and develop design talent
• Strong partner to Product and Engineering
• Fluency in design systems, accessibility, and UX research
• Excellent written and verbal communication
