Job Description

As a Facilities Technician, you will ensure the proper maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of facilities. You will uphold compliance with codes and regulations, perform basic repairs using trade skills, and supervise contractors. The role is vital in maintaining a vibrant, human-centered community.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance repair requests
• Conduct inspections of tools, equipment, and machines
• Maintain inventory, parts, and supplies
• Operate hand and power tools
• Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and clean-up
• Adhere to company policies and safety protocols
• Complete safety training and obtain certifications
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience with building maintenance and repairs
• Working knowledge of carpentry, hardware, plumbing, and electrical
• Skills in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, vehicles, energy conservation, and building management
• Ability to promptly respond to work orders
• Proficiency in English
• Proficiency in Spanish (plus)
