Job Description

Owner is seeking a Payments Operations Lead to design and scale their payments operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability as they expand into international markets. This role is crucial for supporting the company's mission of helping independent restaurants grow and thrive by reliably processing online orders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable payment operations processes and controls
• Oversee operational risk management
• Monitor and improve payment performance metrics
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Analytics to automate workflows
• Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management
• Collaborate with Support to improve merchant experiences
• Develop operational playbooks, dashboards, and reporting
• Lead remediation of operational incidents
• Hire and grow a Payment Operations team

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or payment operations roles
• Direct experience with platform payments or marketplace models
• Strong understanding of payment performance levers and regulatory frameworks
• Hands-on experience in operational risk management
• Proven ability to design scalable processes and implement controls
• Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills
• Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills
• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring a team
• Entrepreneurial mindset
