Job Description

As a Senior Engineer, you will be a key individual contributor within our Production Operations team, designing, building, and maintaining highly reliable, scalable, and performant cloud infrastructure and systems that support Greenlight's mission-critical services. This role requires a seasoned engineer who thrives on solving complex operational challenges, enhancing system stability, and improving efficiency through automation and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and SRE practices
• Develop, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Collaborate with development and security teams to embed SRE principles
• Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
• Implement architectural improvements to enhance system reliability
• Automate operational tasks and processes
• Research and evaluate new technologies
• Enhance existing services for availability, reliability, and scalability
• Build and improve engineering tooling, processes, and standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Production Operations
• Experience architecting, building, and maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable systems in a public cloud environment (AWS preferred)
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform)
• Experience in automating operational tasks using scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash)
• Expertise in designing and implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Understanding of incident response best practices
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and containerization technologies
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
