Job Description

Robinhood is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Governance team, focused on protecting and responsibly managing customer data. The role involves developing backend systems to monitor and govern data usage, ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR and supporting the responsible development of AI/ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services for data governance
• Partner with AI/ML, Risk, and Privacy teams
• Enable governance for analytical systems and data infrastructure
• Build internal tools for auditability and data integrity
• Own end-to-end delivery of governance solutions

Requirements

• Strong coding and problem-solving skills in Python or Go
• Experience with server-side frameworks like Django or GoLang
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native development
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Curiosity and drive to navigate complex systems and regulations
