xAI is seeking a highly motivated engineer to design, build, and improve machine learning algorithms for Community Notes, focusing on helpfulness, accuracy, scale, and manipulation resistance. The role involves working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with cross-functional collaboration and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design and build improvements to machine learning algorithms
• Contribute to public data support for external engineers
• Build scalable internal production machine learning systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams

Requirements

• Experience developing and shipping ML solutions end-to-end
• Ability to extract insights from real-world data
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch
• Enjoy working in a 0-to-1 environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to do whatever is needed
