Job Description

Customer.io is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape experiences across multiple teams and customer journeys. The role involves elevating visual craft, evolving the Pluma design system, and mentoring other designers, while collaborating with engineers and PMs to improve usability, retention, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-squad initiatives shaping key customer journeys
• Contribute small front-end changes to the UI
• Explore UX solutions through experimentation and AI
• Elevate visual language and interaction design
• Mentor peers and contribute to team growth
• Leverage AI tools for prototyping and iteration
• Evolve the Pluma design system
• Collaborate with engineering for high-quality designs
• Synthesize research and data to identify opportunities
• Measure impact with design success metrics

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience designing digital products
• Proven ability to lead multi-team design initiatives
• Deep visual and interaction design expertise
• Systems thinking and design system experience
• Fluency with front-end principles
• Comfort with AI-enhanced tools
• Excellent async communication skills
• Track record of mentorship and collaboration
