Job Description

Highspot is seeking a Principal Engineering Manager to lead their growing Applied AI team. This role focuses on applying Generative AI to deliver Agentic capabilities, scaling the AI team, managing prioritization, coordinating with other teams, and coaching team members. The ideal candidate will drive technical direction, prioritize business outcomes, and deliver new AI opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Applied AI engineers
• Apply Generative AI to solve business challenges
• Grow, coach, build and scale the Applied AI team
• Drive operational excellence
• Drive technical direction for an Agentic AI platform
• Communicate complex concepts
• Collaborate with other teams

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Generative AI and Agentic AI systems
• 4+ years of engineering management experience
• 8+ years of software development experience
• Understanding of Generative AI systems and best practices
• Experience with Cloud services at enterprise scale
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, Typescript
• Management experience to lead and grow an Applied AI team
• Collaboration skills
• Expertise in full product lifecycle
• Experience mentoring and encouraging collaborative teams
• Experience in agile environments
