Job Description

PagerDuty is seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to develop standards and practices for back-end data storage and streaming systems, build tools for engineers, and contribute to scaling the PagerDuty Platform. The role requires coding/scripting abilities, Kafka expertise, AWS experience, and a background in Site Reliability Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering to design reliable data platforms
• Improve customer experience through full lifecycle support and monitoring
• Stay current on technology trends
• Share expertise with the Engineering organization
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DBRE, or Software Development
• 3+ years experience with database management systems
• Experience with Ruby, Python, or Golang
• Experience working on cloud-native infrastructure in AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes
