Job Description

PagerDuty is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive new business and support key strategic accounts by identifying challenges and delivering exceptional sales experiences. This role focuses on expanding existing relationships and acquiring new customers within a defined territory, encompassing both large deal selling and transactional sales models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional account teams to develop and implement account plans
  • Identify customer challenges and develop business-oriented perspectives
  • Generate revenue through sales and client relationship management
  • Establish executive alignments and foster broad relationships
  • Navigate hybrid sales approaches
  • Prioritize opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Exceed quotas
  • Utilize sales methodology for lead management and forecasting
  • Conduct account research

Requirements

  • 7+ years of outside software sales experience
  • 3+ years of experience selling at Strategic/Enterprise level
  • Experience with multi-product, complex software environments (SaaS preferred)
  • Proven ability to build pipeline and exceed sales targets
  • Experience leading complex sales cycles within Global 2000 Enterprises
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of DevOps, IT Ops, and Platform Engineering (preferred)
  • Familiarity with MEDDICC and Command of the Message (preferred)
  • Technical expertise and understanding of engineering culture (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
