Job Description

PlusAI is seeking a Functional Safety Manager to influence the safety of their autonomous system, define safety goals, conduct safety reviews, and collaborate with engineering teams to refine requirements for software systems.

Responsibilities

• Define vehicle-level self-driving requirements
• Define system reliability and robustness requirements
• Conduct Hazard Analysis & Risk Assessment (HARA) reviews
• Conduct Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) reviews
• Identify operational data to quantify real world performance
• Represent Plus in customer interactions with OEMs
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)
• Drive process improvements

Requirements

• Degree in CS, ME, EE, Mechatronics or related field
• Proficiency in English
• 3+ years experience developing safety critical embedded systems
• 5+ years experience in automotive systems development
• Understanding of automotive software development process
• Extensive knowledge of ISO-26262 Automotive Functional Safety
• Experience conducting safety reviews and analysis (HARA, FTA, FMEA, FMEDA)
• Working knowledge of ISO-21448 Safety of the Intended Function
• Working knowledge of UL4600 Evaluation of Autonomous Safety
