PlusAI is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to improve their redundant on-vehicle platform and autonomous software stack, focusing on performance, robustness, and fault handling. The role involves integrating software components, designing validation strategies, and contributing to driverless operation features.

Responsibilities

• Improve redundant on-vehicle platform and autonomous software stack
• Develop perspectives on software and hardware strategy
• Integrate and optimize autonomous software components
• Design fault detection and handling strategies
• Develop validation strategies including testing
• Evaluate and integrate partner middleware
• Own or help with driverless operation features
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)
• Monitor quality and drive process improvements

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience
• MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Basic understanding of computer vision and deep learning
• Hands-on experience with high performance IPC/middleware
• Strong analytical skills for performance troubleshooting
• Familiarity with SIMD programming models
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt
• Ability to work on large code bases
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with Linux system tuning
