Job Description

Loft Orbital is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to ensure the security of their highly automated, containerized, and globally distributed infrastructure. This role involves championing DevSecOps practices, leading security assessments, and collaborating with various teams to scale security maturity while maintaining startup agility.

Responsibilities

• Champion DevSecOps best practices
• Lead and automate security assessments
• Partner with developers to remediate vulnerabilities
• Design and maintain secure architecture patterns
• Develop and maintain automated security tooling
• Support incident response workflows
• Provide technical mentorship
• Contribute to internal security tools
• Improve security measurement and scaling

Requirements

• Deep cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong knowledge of container and Kubernetes security
• Proficiency in a modern programming language (Python, Go, C++)
• Experience with zero-trust architecture
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps pipelines
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning
• Success in fast-paced environments
• Clear communication skills
