Job Description

As a Test Engineer at Loft Orbital, you will contribute to the design, execution, and improvement of test processes that ensure the reliability and performance of Loft’s space hardware. You’ll work hands-on with a range of systems—from subsystems to full spacecraft—supporting environmental, functional, and automated test campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and execution of test procedures
• Participate in the development of automated and manual test equipment
• Execute and document environmental and functional tests
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure tests align with requirements
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3–7 years of experience in aerospace or related hardware testing
• Working knowledge of test methods and environmental test standards
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems
• Experience with scripting or automation tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working hands-on with hardware
