Job Description

Loft Orbital and Orbitworks are seeking a detail-oriented Material Planner to support production activities for spacecraft assembly and integration. The role involves aligning materials and resources to meet production goals, working with cross-functional teams, and ensuring a smooth flow from concept to orbit.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material planning and MRP processes
• Interface with inventory, receiving, and logistics teams
• Synthesize inputs from cross-functional teams
• Coordinate workload across multiple programs
• Manage material demand integrity within the ERP system
• Maintain and update MRP system data
• Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks
• Provide reports on inventory status and schedule risks
• Support continuous improvement of planning processes

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or inventory management
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (NetSuite or similar)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or MS Project
• Solid understanding of BOM structures and inventory management principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong attention to detail
