Job Description

Loft is seeking a Senior Onboard Software Engineer to design, implement, and refine software for their core products, focusing on monitoring and control of space program elements. The role involves high-level vehicle services, code review, testing, and collaboration with downstream teams, with opportunities to operate on-orbit satellites.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and refine software
• Review code and provide feedback
• Design and implement unit tests
• Utilize version control systems
• Contribute to onboard software architecture
• Participate in process and standard enhancement
• Coordinate with downstream teams on releases
• Operate on-orbit fleet of satellites

Requirements

• 6+ years' software engineering experience
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
• Experience with Git
• Experience with continuous integration tools
• Experience with build systems
• Understanding of distributed architecture
• Familiarity with networking protocols and POSIX standards
• Experience in developing multi-threaded applications
