Skyward is seeking a Principal Engineer to help ship their first customer-ready product, establish a technical foundation for scale, and drive innovation in AI-first automation. This role requires a full-stack engineer with strong experience in AWS, LLM implementation, and a passion for building and scaling cutting-edge technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ship first customer-ready product
• Architect solutions and write production code
• Design system architecture for AI platform
• Build full-stack web applications
• Implement prompt engineering and agentic workflows
• Own AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Build demos and POCs for sales enablement
• Translate domain expertise into technical solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience taking products to market
• Strong backend and frontend skills (Svelte, Python, Typescript/Javascript)
• Deep knowledge of AWS services
• LLM/AI implementation experience
• Infrastructure experience with Terraform/CDK
• Database experience with PostgreSQL and Vector databases
• Strong communication skills
