Via is seeking a Public Relations Associate to help tell the stories of the positive impact of transit on local communities. This role involves coordinating partner launches, drafting press releases, maintaining media lists, and reporting on media coverage. The associate will work closely with various teams to elevate the voices of riders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate global partner launches and milestone celebrations
• Draft press releases, pitches, and messaging
• Maintain communication with commercial teams
• Liaise with Rider Growth, Policy, Operations, and Partner Success teams
• Elevate the voice of riders and partners in local media
• Inform social media content
• Manage and maintain media lists
• Monitor daily media and report coverage
• Draft monthly coverage reports

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in public relations or communications
• Understanding of the media landscape
• Experience developing pitches and securing press coverage
• Creative thinking skills
• Strong communication skills
• Relationship building skills
• Independent and organized
• Excellent writing skills
