Job Description

Via is seeking a Safety Operations Manager to oversee driver safety programs, lead training, and support market operations to ensure drivers meet high safety and service standards. The role involves conducting audits, analyzing data, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post-incident reviews and safety audits
• Monitor safety data and identify improvement opportunities
• Support DOT compliance and recordkeeping
• Lead root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans
• Design, deliver, and improve driver training programs
• Evaluate driver performance through ride-alongs and feedback
• Maintain training documentation and compliance records
• Conduct field visits to observe service quality
• Foster a culture of safety and accountability
• Partner with operations and compliance teams

Requirements

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
• 3+ years of experience in driver training or operations management
• Proven ability to coach and manage driver teams
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and DOT regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort balancing field work with administrative tasks
• Proficiency with digital tools
