Job Description

Via is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Manager to supervise and perform technical and administrative work overseeing the maintenance program for transit equipment. The role involves hands-on work, team leadership, budget oversight, and collaboration with partners and vendors to ensure efficient vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance personnel and inspect work
• Write work orders and prioritize tasks
• Maintain records and troubleshoot equipment problems
• Prepare and oversee maintenance budget
• Provide technical advice to mechanics
• Manage inventory of equipment supplies
• Diagnose and perform vehicle repairs
• Build relationships with partners and vendors

Requirements

• Proactive self-starter with responsibility
• Vocational automotive training and supervisory experience preferred
• Strong project management skills
• Outgoing leader with communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED
• ASE Automobile Service Master Technician Certification
