Job Description

Axon is seeking a forward-thinking Director to lead accounting research and analysis, focusing on M&A, equity/debt investments, and new accounting standards. The role involves supporting SEC reporting, advising on transaction accounting implications, developing policies, and presenting findings to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate accounting for potential M&A and investments
• Create and review technical memos and accounting policies
• Articulate issues and recommendations to stakeholders
• Maintain expertise on US GAAP and SEC reporting
• Lead projects related to acquisitions and new accounting pronouncements
• Assist in acquisition integration
• Identify and resolve US GAAP and SEC reporting issues
• Assist in preparing SEC filings
• Review contract implications
• Maintain internal controls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of experience with a top-tier accounting or strategy firm
• CPA designation
• Strong US GAAP and SEC reporting knowledge
• Ability to research and prepare technical accounting memos
• SOX experience
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
