Job Description

Axon is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer II to support the full product lifecycle, ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes and products that meet or exceed company standards and customer expectations. The role involves participation in the APL process, leading investigations, developing documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in APL process for quality deliverables
  • Lead NCMR/MRB and manage material dispositions
  • Drive 8D investigations and RCA
  • Develop and maintain FAIRs, PPAP, and AQL plans
  • Provide engineering support to Receiving Inspection
  • Support NPI through validation and risk mitigation
  • Perform risk assessment and mitigation
  • Implement and monitor SPC systems
  • Use DMAIC principles and statistical analysis
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, and design teams
  • Participate in internal and supplier audits
  • Manage quality documentation
  • Partner with supply chain for supplier quality
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives
  • Communicate quality alignment
  • Work autonomously in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing quality engineering role
  • Experience with CAPA, RCA/8D, PPAP, FAIR, PFMEA, and validation
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610
  • Proficiency in MS Office and statistical analysis software
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection techniques
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
