Job Description

Axon is seeking a Supplier Quality Development Engineer to ensure global suppliers deliver world-class quality for products like Conducted Electrical Weapons, Cartridges, and Counter Drone systems. The role involves qualifying new suppliers, driving continuous improvement, and building a quality foundation for future products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification and audits
• Partner with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing for NPI
• Drive supplier readiness reviews and qualification activities
• Assess and strengthen supplier inspection capabilities
• Conduct root cause analysis and issue corrective actions
• Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives
• Review engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
• Track and report supplier quality metrics
• Support supplier development in U.S. and Europe

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Materials)
• 3-5+ years in supplier quality or manufacturing engineering
• Understanding of QMS frameworks (ISO9001, AS9100, or TS16949)
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience with PPAP/FAIR submissions
• Hands-on experience with hardware assemblies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• U.S. Person as defined by U.S. Export Control Laws
