Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Public Safety Sales Engineer to work closely with Account Executives and customers to translate technical requirements into compelling solutions for public safety agencies. The role involves leading discovery, demonstrating the platform, managing technical validations, and ensuring a smooth handoff to implementation, with a focus on AI-powered emergency communications.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales solutioning and opportunity qualification
  • Conducting in-depth discovery with public safety agencies
  • Delivering product demonstrations and proof-of-concept sessions
  • Leading and responding to RFPs and security questionnaires
  • Serving as a subject-matter expert on platform architecture
  • Providing configuration and system design guidance
  • Collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering
  • Collecting and relaying customer feedback
  • Building trust with agency decision-makers
  • Representing the company at industry events

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs)
  • 3–7 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Technical Consultant
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Proven presentation and consultative selling skills
  • Experience supporting government procurement cycles
  • Collaborative and adaptable mindset
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
