Job Description

Axon is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to maintain and improve existing video product designs, focusing on debugging, failure analysis, regulatory certification, and component obsolescence. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product continuity and deliver technologies impacting public safety.

Responsibilities

• Update circuit designs for component obsolescence and improvements
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Perform bench verification and performance evaluation
• Debug and analyze electronics systems
• Modify embedded circuits using OrCAD
• Work with PCB Design engineers
• Test RF performance
• Assess design change outcomes
• Provide hardware support for regulatory compliance
• Update Bills of Materials

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of industry experience in electronics design or sustaining
• Proficiency in component sourcing and circuit design changes
• Strong analog and digital circuit design skills
• Experience with power supplies, processors, memory, and interfaces
• Experience with high-speed circuit design and test
• Hands-on proficiency with laboratory tools
• Schematic design proficiency with OrCAD
• Experience with regulatory testing
• Independent contributor with strong documentation skills
