Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to drive product development from concept to manufacturing for next-generation life-saving technologies. This role involves full design ownership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on innovation and public safety. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ, with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development from conceptualization through manufacturing
• Lead ideation of new product architectural concepts
• Construct and analyze prototypes
• Perform mechanical analysis (FEA, tolerance analysis, testing)
• Collaborate with stakeholders
• Work autonomously and collaboratively
• Develop engineering expertise

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years of product design experience in consumer electronics
• Proficiency with Creo or similar 3D CAD software
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding, stamped metal, die-cast, and machined parts
• Familiarity with adhesives and bonded joint design
• Experience with dust/water ingress protection
• Experience with PCB/PCBA flex circuit integration
• Strong DFM/DFA skills
• Effective communication skills
