Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to drive security initiatives within the software development lifecycle. This role focuses on empowering development teams with the tools and knowledge to build secure applications, leveraging automation and a collaborative security partnership approach.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain security automation tools
• Partner with engineering teams to design secure architectures
• Provide actionable security guidance to development teams
• Deliver training on secure coding practices
• Deploy and operationalize SAST/DAST/SCA tools
• Lead vulnerability management efforts
• Advocate for security debt reduction
• Create and enhance security automation tools
• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge security solutions

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or C#
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Understanding of vulnerabilities and secure coding practices
• Experience with security tools like Snyk or Semgrep
• Ability to communicate technical security concepts
• Success partnering with developers on security
• Experience with secure code reviews and SAST/DAST results
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization
