Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of their security infrastructure. This role focuses on automation, incident response, and maintaining critical systems like PKI and IAM, impacting uptime, efficiency, and the developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement automated security checks in CI/CD pipelines
• Write and maintain security-focused infrastructure-as-code
• Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate with developers on security requirements
• Enhance security observability
• Maintain security runbooks and tooling
• Resolve security incidents
• Maintain PKI and IAM systems
• Build and maintain secure infrastructure
• Troubleshoot operational issues
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines with security testing
• Lead security architecture design
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
• Design and implement PKI solutions
• Automate IAM workflows
• Collaborate with SRE and other engineering teams
• Contribute to security automation initiatives
• Stay current with security threats and tools
• Document security systems and procedures

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in operations, site reliability, or infrastructure engineering
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Deep understanding of Linux, networking, and distributed systems
• Proficiency in automation and scripting
• Experience with security monitoring and SIEM platforms
• Solid grasp of CI/CD practices
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with PKI and vaulting solutions
• Familiarity with IAM/SSO platforms
• Clear communication skills
• Proactive approach to threat detection
• Passion for building secure systems
