Job Description

Axon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the architecture and development of a new 0 to 1 product focused on vehicle intelligence. The role involves building highly-available cloud services, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for public safety agencies.

Responsibilities

• Impact development and design of a new product
• Lead engineering architecture design reviews
• Set technical standards through code and architecture reviews
• Mentor engineers
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering
• Improve Engineering processes
• Build highly-available and low-latency services

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience designing scalable cloud-based systems
• Backend service experience in Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL data stores
• Java, Golang or Scala experience is a plus
