Axon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the future of infrastructure automation for law enforcement systems. The role involves designing and delivering self-service infrastructure solutions, collaborating with SREs and SWEs, and building platform-as-a-service capabilities to enhance reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering architecture design reviews
• Set technical standards through code and architecture reviews
• Mentor engineers
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering
• Improve Engineering processes
• Build services with high availability and low latency
• Work with open source technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of software development experience
• Cloud-native, distributed solutions background
• Experience with SaaS/PaaS operational management tooling
• Proficiency in backend languages (Java, Scala, Go, C#)
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms
• Experience with CI/CD platforms
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
