Job Description

Axon is seeking a Staff/Principal Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the development of Axon Records, a cloud-based records management system for law enforcement. The role involves leading engineering architecture, mentoring engineers, improving engineering processes, and building scalable, high-availability services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development and a passion for public safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering architecture design reviews
• Set technical standards through code and architecture reviews
• Mentor engineers
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams
• Improve engineering processes
• Build high-availability, scalable cloud-based services
• Utilize latest open source technologies

Requirements

• 8+ years of full stack software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience building impactful software in a team environment
• Experience with scalable cloud-based systems
• Proficiency in backend languages (Go, Java, Scala)
• Frontend experience (Javascript, Typescript, React)
• Strong SQL database experience
• Experience driving technical solutions across teams
