Job Description

Axon is seeking an RF Test Engineer to ensure the wireless technologies in their advanced products meet high performance, reliability, and compliance standards. The role involves hands-on testing, optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for public safety professionals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RF test plans
• Record and report RF test data
• Present findings and recommendations
• Evaluate RF performance metrics (TRP, TIS, OTA)
• Use RF instruments (spectrum analyzers, communication testers)
• Support product field evaluations
• Investigate and debug RF issues
• Assist in regulatory pre-certification and formal certification

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of RF and wireless device testing experience
• 3+ years of wireless device test plan development
• Solid understanding of RF principles
• Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular (LTE, 5G), and GNSS
• Familiarity with cellular certification processes
• Proficient with RF equipment (CMW, CMX, Litepoint, etc.)
• Strong documentation and communication skills
