Job Description

Axon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to drive innovative product development from conceptualization through manufacturing of life-saving technologies. This role involves strong cross-functional collaboration and a hybrid work schedule based out of the San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development from concept to manufacturing
• Develop and prototype subsystem and system designs
• Build and test prototypes
• Perform mechanical analysis (FEA, tolerance analysis, testing)
• Collaborate with stakeholders
• Work autonomously and collaboratively
• Focus on personal and professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years of product design experience in consumer electronics
• Proficiency with Creo or similar 3D CAD software
• Knowledge of production processes (injection molding, sheetmetal, die-casting, CNC machining)
• Familiarity with adhesives and bonded joint design
• Experience with dust/water ingress protection
• Experience with PCB/PCBA integration
• Strong DFM/DFA skills
• Effective communication skills
