Job Description

Axon is seeking a Crime Analyst with expertise in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Power BI, and/or SSRS to support and enhance analytics for Axon software applications. This role involves configuring databases, designing analytics solutions, developing reports, providing training, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful insights to public safety agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines, models, and dashboards
• Partner with public safety agencies to understand their needs
• Configure system databases
• Author reports and dashboards using Power BI and/or SSMS
• Train agencies on reporting capabilities
• Build tools for digital transformation
• Create training strategies and materials
• Communicate testing and training plans
• Partner with Axon Academy for eLearning assets
• Collaborate with product engineering teams
• Serve as a subject matter expert in crime analytics
• Optimize data models and queries

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in public safety software testing, training, or implementation
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/data analytics preferred
• Proficiency in SQL management studio, Power BI, or similar
• Knowledge of Public Safety crime analysis preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Exposure to software development and continuous improvement
• Proven success in creating engaging learning experiences
• Ability to write clear instructions
• Must pass a CJIS background check
