Job Description

The ACLU is seeking a Summer Undergraduate Intern for the National Prison Project in Washington D.C. This internship offers experience in prison reform litigation and advocacy, focusing on constitutional rights within correctional facilities. The position can be remote or hybrid and requires a full-time commitment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with advocacy material production and distribution
• Conducting factual research and writing
• Gathering information on prison and jail conditions
• Documenting and tracking complaints
• Providing campaign and litigation support

Requirements

• Completed first year of undergraduate degree
• Strong interest in incarcerated people's rights
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
