Job Description

Canonical is seeking a Partner Sales Executive to grow its channel sales team in North America. The role focuses on identifying, recruiting, and managing reseller and distributor partners to expand the company's open-source technology reach. The ideal candidate will have a mix of farming and hunting skills, a strong understanding of open source, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute channel strategy

  • Identify and recruit new partners
  • Guide partner onboarding and enablement
  • Develop go-to-market plans
  • Arrange sales and pre-sales trainings
  • Drive and manage channel pipeline
  • Support partner satisfaction
  • Maintain regular contact with partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technology field
  • Software or technology sales experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Understanding of open source, Linux, and Ubuntu
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • Effective negotiating and closing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and productive in a distributed team
  • Mature approach to relationship development
