Job Description

Canonical is seeking a Partner Sales Manager to contribute to the IHV alliances organization, working with major OEM and IHV brands to enable teams, generate opportunities, and drive business growth through Canonical's Ubuntu platform and open-source portfolio. The role involves building relationships, evangelizing the partnership, and achieving targeted results.

Responsibilities

  • Build strategic relationships and enable partner teams
  • Build pipeline and transact opportunities
  • Grow partner awareness of open source capabilities
  • Deliver on targets and provide partner voice
  • Travel to drive partnerships
  • Align and support internal Canonical field teams
  • Expand existing footprint with IHV customers
  • Support broader strategy and initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience in alliance or indirect sales management
  • Autonomous and disciplined mentality
  • Ability to capture customer requirements and identify opportunities
  • Passion for Ubuntu products
  • Comfort in fast-paced environments
  • Experience with Linux, virtualization, and cloud technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Team player with accountability
  • Credibility and knowledge of IHVs
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel
