Canonical is seeking exceptional software engineers with expertise in virtualization and container technology to contribute to next-generation open source VMM or container technology, and related open source networking and storage. The role involves designing features, engaging with upstream communities, conducting security analysis, and collaborating with a distributed team to impact modern cloud computing technologies.

Requirements

• Exceptional academic track record
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM
• Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond
• Experience with open source virt or container tech
• Experience working in the kernel or very low level system
• Professional English skills
• Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Passion and self-motivation
• Ability to travel twice a year
