Canonical is seeking Community Engineers at various seniority levels to enable and facilitate community leaders and participants within the open source ecosystem. This role involves fostering a thriving community, supporting initiatives with technical skills, and representing community interests to Canonical teams. The position is fully remote and open to candidates worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Write content to promote community initiatives
• Collaborate on solutions to community problems
• Nurture contributions to Ubuntu
• Engage with the Ubuntu community
• Represent Ubuntu at events
• Support Canonical team engagement
• Lead programs from conception to launch

Requirements

• Love of technology and working with people
• Curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
• Experience with developer tools and open source projects
• Public record of accomplishments
• Interest in Ubuntu Linux, DevOps, or software development
• Autonomy and ownership of objectives
• Experience with open source communities
