Job Description

Canonical is seeking an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery. This is a remote role requiring location in the Americas, EMEA, or APAC to manage a team spanning multiple timezones.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Field engineers
• Solve customer problems and act as a trusted advisor
• Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback
• Implement disciplined engineering processes
• Represent the team and product to stakeholders
• Develop and evangelize engineering practices
• Plan and manage progress on goals and projects
• Collaborate with other leaders

Requirements

• Exceptional academic record
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Extensive embedded Linux experience (Yocto or similar)
• Extensive Linux experience (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
• Fluency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
• Ability to manage a small team
• Experience with customer engagements
• Professional English skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Result-oriented and accountable
