Job Description

This role involves leading a field engineering team focused on implementing Canonical's open source solutions for customers in public clouds and data centers. The manager will provide technical guidance, develop team members, and participate in presales activities to drive growth and ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Field engineers
• Solve customer problems and act as a trusted advisor
• Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback
• Implement engineering processes
• Represent the team to stakeholders
• Develop and evangelize engineering practices
• Plan and manage project progress
• Participate in technical presales

Requirements

• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (Kubernetes, Openstack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph)
• Practical knowledge of Linux and networking
• Experience in technical presales
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for developing people
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers
• Strong organizational skills
• Exceptional academic record
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
